Scrap trade

The recovery or remelting of steel and iron scrap is the oldest and most efficient method for recirculating waste. Thanks to the use of scrap metal both in the primary route (blast furnace) and the secondary route (electric steel mill), resources are spared and environmental impacts are avoided. For example, it is possible to reduce CO2emissions by reintroducing steel and iron scrap into the materials cycle, which also has a positive effect for environmental protection.

By using treated scrap in furnace sizes, we deliver approximately 16 clearly defined scrap types according to the European scrap types list, preventing any loss of quality. Theo Steil uses the latest innovative separation technology to supply unmixed secondary raw materials to steel mills and foundries. By road, railways or waterways, we offer transport and on-schedule delivery to any destination in the world.
